John T. McCulloch, late a resident of Howard Center twp., who went to Oregon with his family about a month ago, returned last week with the body of his wife, who died after they had been there about three weeks. She was buried at Decorah.

Lucy Jeannette (Garfield) McCulloch was born May 5th, 1841, at Mechanicsville, Vt., and married John McCulloch at Decorah Dec. 21st, 1858. To them six children—five daughters and one son— were born, of whom the latter and three daughters survive. She died of pneumonia on Friday Nov 15th at Kent, Oregon, and her remains brought here for interment. Funeral services were held at the Wm. Yarwood's on the 20th inst. Rev. Robbins, of Decorah officiating.
