NEW HAMPTON - Lula Praska, 86, New Hampton, formerly of Jackson Junction, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2001 at the New Hampton Care Center of natural causes.
No visitation or services will be held. Her remains were donated to the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines.
Lula was born Sept. 22, 1915 in rural Chickasaw County, the daughter of Charles and Eleanor (Shileny) Kostka. She and her husband, Jerome Praska owned and operated a service station and restaurant in Jackson Junction. The couple later moved to Des Moines where Jerome died. Lula became a resident of the New Hampton Care Center in 1991.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Taylor, Oklahoma and Rex Taylor, Waterloo.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband.
Hugeback Funeral Home, New Hampton was in charge of the arrangements.
