Dolores Hageman, age 88 of Cresco, IA formerly of rural Ft. Atkinson, IA died Sunday, September 17, 2017 at the Evans Memorial Home in Cresco, IA.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 Friday, September 22, 2017 at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church 207 Church St. Spillville, IA with Father Robert Gross presiding. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Spillville and after 10:00 a.m. at the church on Friday.

Dolores Janette (Barta) Hageman was born June 5, 1929 the daughter of Peter and Edith (Fisher) Barta. On June 23,1952, she was united in marriage to Louis Hageman at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Protivin, IA. To this union four children were born, Darrell, Barbara, Gary and Diane. Dolores enjoyed spending time with family and friends, baking, gardening, sewing and crocheting. She lived on their family farm until September of 2008 when she moved to Cresco, IA. She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and the Ladies’ Guild

Dolores is survived by her four children: Darrell (Susan) Hageman and Barbara (Steve) Praska all of Cresco; Gary Hageman (Tetyana) Hageman of Decorah and Diane (Ron) Christensen of Newton, IA; Thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-eight great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law; Delbert Hageman, Eugene Hageman and Robert (Joann) Hageman and Joyce Hageman, along with many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Louis; her parents: Peter and Edith (Fisher) Barta; two brothers Arthur and Donald Barta; brothers and sisters-in-law: Leonard (Francis) Hageman, Francis (Anna) Hageman, August Hageman, Helen (Francis) Dietzenbach, Marie (Clarence) Brincks and Patricia Hageman.
