Mailey-Hayes Wedding.
On Tuesday morning, April 27, 1920, occurred the marriage of Teresa Mailey and Frank Harold Hayes, Rev. Father Sampson officiating. They marched to the altar to the strains of Mendelsson’s march played by a friend of the bride. They were attended by Miss Mary Sexton, cousin of the bride, and Mr. Clement Gossman, cousin of the groom. The bride was charmingly attired in a navy blue tricotine suit with bisque tan hat, with blouse and shoes to match. Miss Sexton was attired in a navy blue suit with accesssories{sic} to match.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Mailey of Bluffton twp. She possesses many admirable qualificati{o}ns and is held in high esteem. The groom is the second eldest son of Mike Hayes of Plymouth Rock. He served his country honorably in the worlds war over two years and was one of the boys who fought many battles in France. He is well known and held in high regard throughout the surrounding territory. A sumptuous wedding dinner was served to the immediate relatives and friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Hayes left on the 3:15 train from Decorah on their honeymoon to Waterloo, Ia. Miss Sexton and Mr. Gossman accompanied them to Calmar.
They will be at home to their many friends on the groom’s farm in Fremont twp. After May 1st.
