Wedding of Miss Mate Harden and Wm. E. Gatewood a Social Event at Marshall, Minn.
The marriage of Miss Mate Standring Harden, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Harden, former Decorians, and William E. Gatewood of San Francisco, occurred last week Wednesday at the home of the bride’s parents at Marshall, Minn. We quote in part from the account given by the Marshall Co. News-Messenger of the 12th inst.”—
The wedding of Miss Mate Standring Harden of this city to Mr. William Emerson Gatewood of San Francisco, on Wednesday evening, at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Harden, was the social event of the season.
About one hundred and fifty guests were present at this beautiful home wedding and reception. After half an hour of reception and visiting, the guests had all arrived and at eight-thirty the arrival of the wedding party was announced by the strains of the Lohengrin wedding march. Played by Miss Katherine Fobes. The groom’s attendants Mr. Len Harden, brother of the bride, and Mr. Tom Bond entered from the library and proceeded to the alter, which was arranged in the large living room. They were followed by the bridemaids, Miss Trean Harden, gowned white lace over pink satin, trimmed in marabout,
