Married Fifty Years.
Valentine Stoskopf and wife celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary on Monday last. On account of the recent death of their son’s wife no observance of the event was made. Mr. and Mrs. Stoskopf were married in Canada, where they met soon after coming to America to reside. They came to Canoe township in this county forty-one years ago and resided on farms there for thirty-six years, when they bought a home in the fifth ward and have since been enjoying the comforts of a serene old age.
