A Ridgeway Wedding.
A pretty wedding was solemnized at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Butz, at 8 o’clock last evening. The contracting parties were Miss Clara Butz and Rudolph Ernst. Rev. Schneider of Decorah was the officiating clergyman who tied the nuptial knot pronouncing the ceremony which united the lives of these estimable young people. The wedding was witnessed by nearly one hundred relatives and friends of the bride and groom.
As the beautiful strains of the wedding march, rendered by Miss Sara Aga, floated through the room, the young couple, attended by Miss Bertha Ernst and Bert Butz, took their places beneath a pretty arch of evergreens where the minister with an impressive yet simple ceremony pronounced them man and wife. After congratulations nice refreshments were served.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernst are well and favorably known in and about Ridgeway, they having spent all their lives here.
The love and esteem in which this worthy couple is held was shown by the numerous and beautiful persents{sic}.
The many friends of the bride and groom join with the Review in wishing them a long, pleasant and prosperous life.--Ridgeway Review.
