Married.
At “Pleasant View” farm, the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Blodgett, on Thursday, Feb. 13, a quiet marriage ceremony was performed by Rev. M. Willett, D. D., pastor of the First Congregational church, by which Miss Grace Dell Blodgett, the eldest daughter of the home, became the wife of Mr. Jesse Taylor.
The bride is well known in Decorah, having lived here from childhood. She graduated from the Decorah Institute, and was a successful teacher in our county schools for several years. In the spring of 1903 she transferred her field of labor to North Dakota, where she had taught continuously, winning many warm friends. Last September she accepted a position as instructor in the State Industrial school for girls in Chillicothe, Missouri, which she recently resigned.
The groom belongs to one of the well known, pioneer families of North Dakota, having lived there twenty years, and is a successful business man, for the past three years being associated with the Cargill Elevator Co. of Minneapolis, at Gronna, N. D.
The hearty congratulations and best wishes of Decorah friends follow this excellent young couple as they start out on life’s journey together. They departed on Friday for Chicago, expecting soon to take up their residence in North Dakota.
