Married at Plymouth Rock.
On Wednesday of last week Miss Stella, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lar Fleming, residing northeast of Kendallville, was united in marriage to Will Murphy, a popular young man of Le Roy, Minn. The bride is a most excellent young lady, exceedingly popular in her neighberhood, and will prove a worthy wife and helpmate for the husband of her choice. The groom is a stranger to us but is doubtless in every way worthy of the wife he has won. The Le Roy Independent writes of him and of the wedding as follows:
“Will Murphy, one of Le Roy's most popular young men, was married Wednesday forenoon to Miss Stella Fleming, the ceremony taking place in St. Agnes church in Plymouth Rock, Winneshiek county, Iowa, the home church of the bride, Rev. Father Burke performed the ceremony and the attendants were Pat Fleming end Miss Jew-ell Sullivan, cousin and aunt of the bride. The wedding was witnessed by relatives and intimate friends of the couple after which a dinner was served at the bride's home. The groom is one of Le Roy’s best young men and has a host of warm friends who congratulate him on his marriage. He is a clerk in C. A. Roy & Son’s hardware and has the reputation of being one of the best and most accommodating salesmen in the village. Added to this are his genial manner, exemplary habits of genial manner, exemplary habits of living, his thrift and industry, and many other traits we might name and you have in “Bill” a young man of exceptional promise. His bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Sullivan and has spent much of her time the past year here in their family. She is a most excellent young woman in every respect and has made many friends in Le Roy who will gladly welcome her to a home in our midst. They will forego a wedding trip for the present and are already getting settled in their home, which Will has been building the past year. ”
The Plain Dealer joins with a host of friends of both bride and groom in congratulations and sincere good wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
