A Silver Wedding.
Thursday, Apr. 24th, at 11 a. m., the relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bigalk, to the number of one hundred or more met at their home near Kendallville and gave them a pleasant surprise in honor of their silver wedding; presenting Mrs. Bigalk with a silver wreath and Mr. Bigalk a silver boquet, after which Rev. Wagner, of Big Springs, gave a very interesting speech and song, “Where Love Dwells," was sung in honor of the silver wedding. Then the ladies emptied their baskets and tilled the tables with good, wholesome food, at which the guests were seated, everyone of whom was able to do ample justice.
The presents were: 1 dozen silver knives and forks, 1 dozen silver tea spoons, silver sugar shell and butter
knife, a beautiful water set, an easy chair, and silver coin.
The evening was pleasantly and profitably passed, the guests departed at a late hour and all reporting a pleasant and enjoyable time and wishing Mr. and Mrs. Bigalk another quarter of a century of married happiness. A GUEST.
