Golden Wedding,
Friday, January 10th, 1902, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Daly at the home of their son, John W. Daly, four miles northwest of Cresco, celebrated their Golden Wedding. Mr. Thomas Daly was married with Miss Hanora Ahearn in Little Falls, New York, January 10th, 1852, coming to Winneshiek county near Decorah in 1857; coming to this county eleven years ago, where they now reside. Their children, grand-children and relatives helped them celebrate which was indeed a pleasant one, and an occasion which but few children have the pleasure of celebrating, Mr. and Mrs. Daly are old and respected citizens of Winneshiek and Howard and have a large circle of friends in both counties who are rejoiced to know that they have been spared in health for these many years.
