Betty Jo Ann Indvik, 86, of Forest City, died on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

Betty, a daughter of Warner and Mildred (Bolsinger) Faber, was born on November 27, 1929, in Forest City. Baptized and confirmed at the First Methodist Church in Forest City, she grew up in Forest City and graduated from high school in 1947. On June 18, 1948, she married Loren Indvik at the First Methodist Church in Forest City. They, subsequently, lived in southern California and Amarillo, Texas, for a time while Loren was serving his country in the U.S. Air Force. After they returned to Forest City in June of 1969, Betty worked at the Donut Shop in Forest City and did custodial work at Winnebago Industries as well as for John K. Hanson before she retired. Betty enjoyed watching the Lawrence Welk show on T.V. and spending time with her family. A member of the United Methodist Church and the UMW, she, also, belonged to the Forest City American Legion Auxiliary.

Betty is survived by her five children, Steve (Joan) Indvik, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Randy (Maureen) Indvik, of Johnston, Iowa, Scott (Vicky) Indvik, of Prescott, Arizona, Mark (Sandi) Indvik, of Boone, Iowa, and Sandy (Jerry) Baade, of Titonka; four grandchildren, Chris (Tiffany) and Brandon (Kelsey) Lamping and Joe and Katy Indvik; three great-grandchildren, Carter, Dominik, and Sidney Lamping; and a sister, Peg Tjelta, of Forest City; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, April 4, 2016, at the United Methodist Church in Forest City with the Rev. Charles Layton officiating. Burial will be at Madison Township Cemetery in Forest City. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M., Sunday, at the Cataldo Schott Funeral Home in Forest City and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be directed to United Methodist Church in Forest City.
