Dr. Paul Allan Tapper
August 21, 1951 - August 20, 2018

Dr. Paul Allan Tapper of Celina, Texas, formerly of Buffalo Center, passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on August 20, 2018. A memorial service was held on August 25, 2018, in Celina, Texas.

Paul, a son of Donald and Norma Tapper, was born on August 21, 1951. He grew up on the family farm before leaving for Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, where he met and wed his wife, Linda, in 1972. Subsequently, he and Linda had two children, Michelle and Michael.

After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education in 1973, Paul began his career as a vocal music director in several schools between 1973 and 1985. In 2007, he completed the requirements for a Doctor of Education in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University while teaching in several schools, colleges, and universities.

An innovative teacher, Paul had high expectations for his students to do their best as they were preparing for their futures. To that end, he gave greatly of himself to facilitate their growth. Very active in his church, he used his love for his Lord and Savior as the foundation for ministering to and influencing the lives people of all ages.

Paul is survived by Linda, his wife of forty-six years; his children, Michelle, of Dallas, Texas, and Michael (wife Kate Baicy), of Brooklyn, New York; and his sister, Bonna Rae (Brian Moeller), of Leland, Iowa.
