June 13, 1959 - October 16, 2017Tracy Scott Gerdes, 58, died on Monday, October 16, 2017, in Lake Mills, Iowa.
Tracy, the fourth child of Marvin R. and LaVonne A. Gerdes, was born in Mason City, Iowa. After he had spent his elementary years in Mason City, the family moved to Southern California and later to Arizona. He returned to the North Iowa area in the 1990s and earned a GED. Tracy, then, worked for Winnebago Industries of Forest City and Larson Contracting of Lake Mills. After deciding to settle there, he worked at various jobs around town.
Tracy is survived by his siblings: Sandra L. (Merle) Clement, of Forest City, Iowa, Gene R. (Charlotte) Gerdes, of Apache Junction, Arizona, and Jeffrey Gerdes, of Forest City, Iowa; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Terry L. Gerdes.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, November 11, 2017, at the Mittelstadt Funeral Home, 902 East Main Street, Lake Mills, Iowa 50450, with Pastor Doug Domokos officiating.
