Obituaries
Callie Augusta Hubbard was born Dec. 10, 1852 in Marshall Co., West Virginia. Died at her home in Putnam County, Mo., April 10th, 1907, at 1:10 a.m. She was united in marriage to Wesley Harris Sept. 28, 1871. To this union was born six children, three dying in infancy. She leaves her husband, two sons and one daughter and seven brothers and sisters to mourn her loss. Her father died when she was eight months old, her mother afterward married Mr. Gordon, by which name she was better known. Her home with her family was a happy one and no one could be in it long without being made better and made to realize that this life in not all clouds, but sunshine and joy as well as gloom. She loved her family, her neighbors and her God. She was in return loved by all who knew her. During her last sickness her suffering was intense yet she did not complain. She would often sing the sweet songs of Zion and said she was ready to go, and exhorted her friends to meet her in the great beyond. She united with the Christian church about sixteen years ago and remained faithful until death. Funeral services were held at Genoa, Iowa, by W. E. Jones and the large gathering of people but speak of the love in which she was held. W. E. J.
