Clow Rites Set Friday

Last rites for Archie M. Clow, 82, veteran Fairfield real estate broker, will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home.

Clow, 102 Forest Drive, died suddenly Tuesday morning at the Jefferson County Hospital. He had been a patient there since Feb. 20.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. Jack Weida. Military rites and burial will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Allerton Cemetery.

Clow had been engaged in the real estate business in Fairfield for 42 years. He was associated with his son, Robert Clow, Ottumwa.

Clow was born July 14, 1891 at Allerton, the son of William and Josia Timmons Clow. He was married Dec. 24, 1917 to Helen Bamford. She died Nov. 10, 1951. On April 14, 1956, he was married to Mildred Spielman, who survives.

In addition to his son, he is also survived by two grandchildren. One sister is deceased.

Clow was a veteran of World War I, serving with the 313th Field Signal Battalion. He was a 50-year Mason, a member of Rotary Club and the First United Methodist Church.
