I was able to locate obituaries for you. In both, Catherine's maiden name is listed as "Freeman." Could Corkhill have been a first husband?

Death of Fred Flood

After many months of suffering, and a great deal of that time being confined to his bed, Fred Flood departed this life Sunday morning at about 4 o'clock. His death removes a familiar character and long-time resident of this vicinity, and we are again reminded that the old landmarks are gradually dropping off and giving place to younger life and new energy. In a few years at the most, all the human links that connect the early history of this country to the present time will have passed away, and the now younger generation will be turning Frederick Flood was born near Cumberland, Allegheny Co., Maryland, January 18, 1834, and died at Kalona, Iowa July 13, 1902, aged 68 years, 6 months and 27 days. He came to Iowa about 40 years ago and two years later married Catherine Freeman. This union resulted in the birth of three children, two boys and one girl, all living. Their names are Andrew Flood, Wrightsville, Wis.; Alex Flood, Kalona, Iowa; Mrs. George McClelland, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The deceased is also survived by his wife who has been in poor health for a long time. Since coming to Iowa, Mr. Flood has been a resident of Washington county, with the exception of two years spent in Ohippewa county, Wis. He was a hard working man, a good neighbor, and kind husband and father. The funeral was held from the house Monday at 10 o'clock, Rev. Pyle conducting the service. The remains were taken to Richmond for interment.

Card of Thanks
To the friends of the late deceased F. R. Flood, the members of the family wish to extend their many thanks for kind assistance given during the illness and death of the husband and father.
G. B. McClelland
