Monday, January 14, 1974Mrs. Long's Brother Dies
Mrs. Ray Long, 703 S. Third, received word this morning her brother, George Augustine, 84, had died about 7 a.m. at the Washington Care Center in Washington.
Augustine fell and broke his hip Dec. 9, 1973, at his home west of Washington and had been a patient in a hospital at Iowa City until his recent transfer to the Washington Care Center.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Arthur Peters, both of Washington; his sister, Mrs. Long; and a brother, Ralph Augustine, Batavia.
