The news in regard to the suicide of Miss Lottie Merrill, of Denver, who was to have married Frank B. Massey, at Lincoln, and with who she was traveling from Denver, was more than of ordinary interest to the people of Washington, Iowa. Miss Merrill and her family had long been on terms of intimacy with Frank Massey, and Miss Merrill’s reason for suicide remains a mystery.
