Obituary – Ramay
John Ramay, Father Ramay, as he was generally known, was born in Berkley County, Virginia, and died in Squaw Township, Warren County, Iowa, June 10, at 10 a.m. after a sickness of about three weeks. He moved with his father’s family to Ross County, Ohio when a boy. He was married at Springfield, Ohio, June 11, 1833. In 1845 he moved to Louisa County, this State, and 20 years ago to this county. He leaves a wife and six children to mourn his loss, but none will feel it so much as his aged and beloved companion.
