John N. Beeler
(September 8, 1889 – June 21, 1960)

John N. Beeler, son of Emma and Joseph Beeler, was born Sept. 8, 1889, at Milo, and died June 21, 1960, at Indianola, at the age of 70 years, 8 months and 21 days. He was united in marriage to Clara Stapleford on June 27, 1912. To this union eight children were born. He was preceded in death by a baby daughter, Wilma, and his wife, Clara, who died in January 1931; also, one sister, Bertha, and a brother, George. In 1932, he was united in marriage to Aerial Peck. To this union three children were born. Surviving him are his 10 children: Paul of Charleston, S. C.; Max of Oregon City, Ore.; Guy of Indianola; Mrs. Howard Davis of Keokuk; John Jr. of North Highlands, Calif.; Dean of National City, Calif.; Lloyd of Daley City, Calif.; Betty, of Des Moines; and Donna and Dwight of Indianola; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Wilson of Melcher, and Mrs. Sarah Carrol of Indianola; and three brothers, Edward of Iowa City; Newton of Indianola; and Elmer of Adel, also 20 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Edgar E. Walker at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 24, 1960, at the Peterson Funeral Home. Interment was in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
