(June 20, 1889 - January 10, 1916)

Obituary
Blanche June Pim was born on a farm near Lucas, June 20, 1889 and died January 10, 1916, at her home in Lucas, at the age of 26 years, 6 months and 21 days. She was married to James Crow, September 1, 1909. To this union was born one daughter, Harriett Isabelle, now five years old. Her mother, Mrs. W. E. Pim died December 24, 1915, a little more than two weeks ago. Mrs. Crow was a constant attendant at her mother’s bedside through all her illness. After she was laid away at Liberty Center, Mrs. Crow came home and was at once taken very sick, it was feared she had contracted the disease from which her mother had died, but it proved not so. Her ailment was a nervous breakdown with lung fever and other diseases. From the first she persistently declared she was going to leave her friends and made all requests to that end. She expressed her appreciation of all their kindness to her to the grief stricken husband she left the affirmation that he had never failed to be the best and dearest of companion. There was no limit to her sweet patience through all her sufferings. She was much concerned over the future of her little daughter and charged her husband’s mother with the responsibility and individually requested all other near ones to aid her. A blessed assurance was given that she knew all was well with her acceptance into the realms of glory. It seemed to be a joy to know that she would soon meet the dear mother so recently departed. The day preceding her death she asked them to sing for her. Her husband attempted to grant her request but the strain was too much for him so others took it up. She faltering followed them and seemed to enjoy the service. Then she earnestly charged them to meet her in Heaven, where she would wait for them. All things of this earthly life being arranged to her satisfaction she ceased to worry and gradually drifted out on the tide. She left this side and reached the other shore at 7 o’clock Sunday morning. She leaves to mourn her departure a husband, little daughter, a father, two sisters, and one brother and a host of relatives and friends. Her death was a loss to the whole community as she had a sunny disposition. She was a member of the M. E. church and a faithful worker in all its branches, at the time of her death she was a president of the Aid Society. She was also a member of the Yeoman Lodge. The funeral services were held at the M. E. church, Wednesday, conducted by her pastor, Rev. Weyrouch, and the Yeoman lodge officiated with their rites. The sympathy of the friends was shown by the profusion of beautiful flowers. Her remains were tenderly laid to rest in the cemetery at Liberty Center, beside that of her mother, for whom she deeply mourned. – The Chariton Leader
