Harriett Jane Pim
(September 14, 1859 - December 24, 1915)

Lacona Ledger, Lacona, Iowa, Fri., Jan 7, 1916, p.1
Mrs. W. R. Pim
Harriett Jane, daughter of James and Ann M. Snuggs, was born in Henry County, Iowa, September 14, 1859. After a severe illness of several weeks with typhoid fever, which later developed into pneumonia, she departed this life on December 24, 1915, being at the time of her death, 50 years, 9 months and 20 days old. She was united in marriage to W. R. Pim, of Lucas, Iowa, on February 23, 1886. To this union were born four children, three of whom were at her bedside during her illness and death. She was a loving wife and mother and was much beloved by all who knew her. She was very patient during her illness, never uttering a word of complaint. A short time before her death she called each one to her bedside, bidding them be good. She told them all was well and that she was ready to go. She leaves a loving husband and four children, Mrs. Martha Sharp, of Galesburg, Ill, Mrs. Blanche Crow of Lucas, James and Sarah, who are still at home, four grandchildren, three brothers and four sisters, to mourn their loss. The remains were quietly laid to rest Sunday in the Liberty Center cemetery. – Chariton Herald Patriot.
