Rev. T. C. Townsend died on the 5th of March, in Fremont County, in the 87th year of his age. Mr. Townsend was a Baptist minister and known to many all over Warren County. He came here at an early day and organized a Baptist society here and took an active part in the building of the Baptist church. He was a soldier of the War of 1812. He was conscious to the last and said he was going home.
