A Sad Death
Edythe Helen Truitt was born August 18, 1892, at Pleasant Hill, in this county where she continued to live with her parents until 1901 when the family moved to Decatur County where they resided until three years ago when they came of Indianola. She was converted and joined the Methodist Church when a child at Pleasant Hill. After coming to Indianola she attended the public schools and was a student in the Conservatory of music for two years.
In February 1909, deceased was united in marriage to Bennett Gaskill, of Winterset, and a few months ago they moved to Pueblo, Colo., where she passed away on March 15th, 1910, leaving her husband, infant babe, mother, three brothers and one sister to mourn her death. Mrs. E. L. Truitt was with her daughter during the last month and accompanied her remains home, arriving here Friday. The funeral was held at the home Sunday afternoon at two o’clock at the home conducted by Rev. E. M. Holmes.
