Monte LeRoy Maranell
(June 9, 1950 - February 13, 2015)

Monte LeRoy Maranell passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Mones, IA following a brief battle with Cancer. He was born June 9, 1950 In Sanborn, Iowa to Marlin and Amy (Block) Maranell. He was a devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather. Monte held a management position for Helena Industries for over 25 years . In his free time he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He is survived by His Loving Wife Marie of Carlisle, 2 daughters, Mary Wilson and Jennifer Maranell; siblings, Linda (LeRoy) Rozeboom, Sherri Small, Donna (Donald) Olson, Ronda (Gary)Vondra, Michael(Patricia)Maranell, Robert Maranell and Richard Maranell; 4 grandchildren, Hunter Wilson, Lauren Wilson, Cole Wilson and Gracie Schumann. Monte was preceded in death by his parents Marlin and Amy Maranell; sister Judy Mouw and brother in law Robert Mouw. A memorial mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Sanborn, Iowa. Memorials for Monte may be directed to the family.
