Mary Bradshaw
(1805 - Feb 11, 1892)

Advocate Tribune, Indianola, IA, Thurs., Feb 23, 1888, p.2, col.3
Mrs. Mary Bradshaw, who resides with her son-in-law, J. B. Webster, of Palmyra Township, was born in Williamsburgh, Canada, in 1805. Her maiden name was Hiller. At the time of the War of 1812, when the American troops invaded Canada, she remembers seeing them. At the age of twenty years she was married to Charles Bradshaw. She is the mother of ten children. Two of them, Mrs. J. B. Webster and H. Bradshaw, live in this township. In 1860 she came to Peoria County, Illinois where she resided until 1870, when she came to Palmyra Township. She enjoys good health at 83 years of age, being well preserved in both body and mind, while her life is rich in the Christian virtues and graces – a loving and obedient child of God. She is not a member of any church. [Mary Bradshaw was buried in the IOOF Indianola Cemetery, Indianola, Iowa]
