BROWN, THOMAS W.,East Washington Township [now Lincoln Township], general blacksmith, Summerset; was born in Warren county, Indiana, May 21, 1853; his parents came to this county in 1854; he learned his trade with J. A. Wilson, of Des Moines, and has been engaged in the business here for about two years; he married Miss Orpha Lanning, the adopted daughter of L. F. Wilson, October 3, 1876; born in this State; they have no family.

Duval on Oct 8, 1899 in Omaha, NB, after his first wife, Orpha Lanning, died in 1898. Thomas and Clara lived in Cass Co., IA in 1900, Hardin Co., IA in 1910, and moved to Idaho where Thomas died Sep 2, 1913. Both Thomas and Clara (1863-1941) are buried in Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Nampa, Canyon County, Idaho - see Find A Grave listing]
