J. W. (JACK) TEETER

Jasper W. (Jack) Teeter, 61, of 233 S. Adams died Sunday at 1:05 p.m. at St. Joseph Hospital. He had been in failing health for three years.

He was born Dec. 1,1915, in Perlee to Thurman and Mamie Green Teeter. He had spent most of his life in the Eldon community and worked as a painter. He moved 13 years ago to Ottumwa where he and his wife operated the Teeter Upholstery Shop. He attended the First Church of the Open Bible.

On Oct. 29, 1964, he married Eunice Shondel. She survives. Also, surviving are one son, Jasper W. Jr. at home; three daughters, Tycene Ann at home and Shirley Scott and Sandy Roe, both of Eldon; two stepsons, Rick and Jerry Ogden, both of Ottumwa; four stepdaughters, Gypsy Creech, Cheryl McDaniels and Tamara and Dawn Collett, all of Ottumwa; two sisters, Helen Humble of Ottumwa and Florence Hart of Douds; four brothers, Lloyd, Clyde, and Glen, all of Eldon, and Gerald of Fairfield; and six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and eight step-grandchildren.

The service will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Eldon, the Rev. Leonard Collett officiating. Burial will be in Eldon Cemetery
