Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier," Wednesday, September 21, 1983:

Clarence E. Cain, 80, of Ottumwa died at 6:45 p.m. Sept. 20, 1983, in Ottumwa Hospital.

He was born April 25, 1903, at Ottumwa to Joseph and Minnie Gay Cain. A retired farmer, he lived in Monroe County from 1942-1948 and in Davis County from 1948-1969, when he returned to Ottumwa. He married Isyl F. Waller Oct. 14, 1934. She died Nov. 25, 1973.

He is survived by a son, Donald E. of Clinton; and three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home, the Rev. Roger Carlo officiating. Burial will be in Agency Cemetery.
