Robert "Bob" Wright, 87, of Fairfield, died today, Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

Arrangements are pending at Behner Funeral Home.

Robert 'Bob' Eugene Wright

Robert "Bob" Eugene Wright, 87, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

A funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday at First Church of the Nazarene, with the Rev. Howard Innis officiating. Burial will be Clay Cemetery near Richland.

Visitation for family and friends is 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Memorials may be made to First Church of the Nazarene or Parkview Care Center.

Memorials and cards can be sent to 205 E. Adams Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Mr. Wright was born June 22, 1926, in Ottumwa, the son of Claude R. and May Elaine Truitt Wright. He married Gertrude Parcell Sept. 2, 1950, at Rubio Friends Church.

He worked with the Department of Human Services and Parkview Cared Center.

He served in the Army during World War II.

He lived most of his life in Fairfield.

He enjoyed wood crafting, reading, teaching adult Sunday school at church and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Gertrude Wright of Fairfield; two children, Cherylyn Trier of Warsaw, Ind., and Ramona Shelangoski of Fairfield; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
