Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” Monday, February 23, 1931:

MRS. ALMIRA C. WOODDELL.

Mrs. Almira C. Wooddell, 86 years old, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M.W. Smith, in Paris, Ill., Sunday morning at 3 o’clock. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. M.W. Smith of Paris, Ill.; three sons, J.C. Wooddell of Prairie City and Charles and Arthur both of Ottumwa; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The body will arrive here overland tonight. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the home of her son, Arthur M. Wooddell, 241 South Ward street. The Rev. Russell E. Kauffman, pastor of the Plymouth Congregational church, will have charge of the services. Interment will be made in the Shaul cemetery.
