"LONG TIME RESIDENT OF OTTUMWA IS DEAD"

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Klepfer was born May 1, 1860 in Warsaw, ILL; the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Schmitz. She was a member of St. Marys Cathoic church. She had lived in Ottumwa most of her life.

Survivors are sons; Lawrence Klepfer of Centerville and Steve Klepfer of Cedar Falls; daughters Mrs. John Sigmund of Keokuk and Mrs. Emma Sigmund, Mrs. Bertha Bissell and Mrs. Wendell of Ottumwa; brothers John and Theodore Schmitz of Hamilton, Illinois; sisters Mrs. Anna Nichols and Mrs. Clara Freeman of Hamilton, Illinois; 14 grand children and 7 great grandchildren. The body is at the Traul funeral chapel.
