ANNIVERSARY OF Mr. AND MRS. JACOB TUTWILER OBSERVED ON NEW YEARS DAY
Jacob Tutwiler and Susan Roseborough were married in Missouri at the home of the brides mother in a two room cabin 60 years ago.
Mr. Tutwiler was born in Ohio in 1832 and came to Iowa in the Spring of 1848 with his parents and brothers; making the trip in a wagon. They settled on a farm on the site of Pulaski.
The bride was born in Kentucky in 1833; coming to Missouri with her fathers family in a early day.
The couple have lived in Ottumwa for the past 25 years; coming from a farm in Centerville.
They are the parents of four sons; 3 still living; J.E. and Will of this city and J.J. who resides in California.
