The Keosauqua Public Library http://www.keosauqua.lib.ia.us/ has an obituary index card file, which I believe is maintained by the Van Buren County Genealogical Society. The library also owns local newspapers on microfilm.

If you are unable to visit the library, you could contact local researcher Donald W. Aldrich via http://iavanburen.org/cthsrecords.htm#LOOKUPS to ask if he could visit the library to check on it for you.
