13 May 1993Lorraine Mertens, 64, died April 28, 1993, in Omaha, Nebraska.
She was born August 6, 1928, the daughter of Henry C. and Ellen Holtkamp Mertens, in Houghton, Iowa.
Survivors include Edna Poepsel, Harlan, Iowa; Dorothy and James McCarr, Green Valley, Az.; JoAnn and James Lutenegger, Bettendorf, Iowa; William and Joyce Mertens, Cantril, Iowa; Sr. Berniece Mertens, Cantril, Iowa; Sr. Berniece Mertens, O.S.F., Milwaukee, Wisc.; LeRoy and Marilyn Mertens, West Burlington, Iowa and Mary Jean and John Kasher, Omaha, Nebraska, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mertens were held at 9:00 a.m. May 1, 1993 at St. Cecilia Cathedral, Omaha, Nebraska.
