Lisandro P. Thorpe, of North Brooks, Ill. died July 27, 1993, at Glenbrook Hospital in Chicago.
He was born March 17, 1948, in Panama, South America, to Evans and Irene Nurse Thorpe.
He came to America an attended Parsons College in Fairfield for six years. He was a lawyer of Chicago. Mr. Thorpe was editor of the Parsons College Portfolio, which was printed by the Van Buren Register when William Randolph was publisher of the Register and was also the public relations man for former state legislator, Bill Sullivan of Cantril.
He is survived by his mother and a sister, Victory Golding of Long Island, New York.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandmother.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, August 4, 1993 at Rock Creek Cemetery west of Richland, the Rev. David Kennedy officiating.
Gould Funeral Home in Richland was in charge of arrangements.
