John H. Morrow

Former Eldon resident John Harold Morrow, 92, of Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua, died May 8, 1993, at the center.

He was born April 2, 1901, in Van Buren County to John and Martha Morrow. He married Helen Leedy in 1959.

He was reared and educated in Van Buren County and farmed many years near Selma and Douds. He later moved to Eldon where he worked as a carpenter and painter. He was a Navy veteran of World War I and was affiliated with the Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife.

The service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 1993, at Campbell-Kremer Funeral Hoe in Eldon, the Rev. John Cooper of Eldon Assembly of God Church officiating. Burial was in Mount Moriah Cemetery near Douds.

Memorials may be made to Van Buren Good Samaritan Center Activity Fund.
