Beatrice I. Robinson

Beatrice I. Robinson, 87, of Keosauqua, died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, 1993, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center, Keosauqua.

She was born July 28, 1905, in Chequest Township south of Douds to John and Mary Jane Shaffer Smith. She married W. Stanley Robinson December 10, 1930, in the Little Brown Church, Nashua.

She graduated from Douds High School, attended Parsons College, Fairfield and taught in the Valley School in Chequest Township and in Davis County rural schools.

She and her husband farmed many years near Cantril and Floris and retired in Keosauqua in 1978. She was a member of Keosauqua Christian Church and the Retired Teachers Association.

Surviving are of her husband of Van Buren Good Samaritan Center, Keosauqua, two sons, Rodney and John of Keosauqua, two daughters, JaneAnn Carlson, Morning Sun and Martha Morton, Bloomfield, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Donna Smith Carson and Betty Fellows, both of Springfield, Va.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Kermit and John Smith, a sister, Emma Harryman and a granddaughter, Tina Morton.
