Harold Floyd

Services for Harold Floyd, 76, who died April 25, 1991 at the Howard County Hospital were held Monday, April 29, 1991 at Lindstrom Funeral Home, Cresco, Iowa. The Reverend Allen Wiese officiated with burial in New Oregon Cemetery.

Harold was born February 9, 1915 at Casey, Iowa the son of Charles C. and Sophia Marie (Christensen) Floyd. He was united in marriage to Elise Kerst on September 14, 1937 at Cresco. She died November 21, 1990.

He lived for many years in Bonaparte before moving back to Cresco.

Surviving are five daughters, Hazel Kemp of Spragueville, Gladys Verhulst of Ottumwa, Bonnie Ellithorpe, Barbara Holden and Judy Floyd, all of Maquoketa; two sons, Ray Floyd of Charlotte, North Carolina and Harold D. Floyd of Denver, Colorado; a sister, Gladys Carmichael of Redfield; 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Elise, a daughter Linda, a son Kenneth and a brother, Charles.
