Ramona Sherman

Ramona J. Sherman, 59, of Beacon died July 14, 1991, at Mahaska County Hospital in Oskaloosa.

She was born June 29, 1932, in Cantril to Edgar A. and Sara Gill Poe. She married Paul Sherman June 4, 1950, in Oskaloosa.

She graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1950 and was a bus driver for Oskaloosa schools from 1969 to 1986.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Pamela Adams of Beacon; two sons, Les of Beacon and Randy of Oskaloosa; six grandchildren; her mother of Beacon; and three sisters, Patricia Vance of Tracy, Bonnie Stout of New Sharon and Shirly Mitrisin of Oskaloosa.

She was preceded in death by her father; and a sister, Donna.

The service was held at 10 a.m. (Wadnesday), July 17, 1991 at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa, the Rev. Jack Wolgamuth of Beacon United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Beacon Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Mahaska County.
