Margie L. Snead, 66, of Keosauqua died at 12:30 p.m. May 7, 1991, at University Hospitals in Iowa City.
She was born March 22, 1925, near Stockport to James and Ethel Lazenby Giberson. She married Wilbur C. Snead on Aug. 31, 1946, in Fairfield.
She was reared near Stockport and lived her married life in rural Keosauqua. She was a member of the Keosauqua Christian Church, Beer-Barker Unit American Legion Auxiliary, Van Buren County Hospital Auxiliary, member of several bowling teams and volunteer worker at Van Buren County Care Facility. She was a home health aide for the Van Buren County Nursing Service.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, James of Keosauqua and Calvin of Batavia; two daughters, Mavadene Kennedy of Keosauqua and Barbara Schmitter of Stockport; 14 grandchildren and two brothers, Warren Giberson of Keosauqua and Bernie Giberson of Fairfield.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and a grand-daughter.
The service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 10, 1991 at Keosauqua Christian Church, the Rev. Bob Patterson officiating. Burial was in Pittsburg Cemetery west of Keosauqua.
Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Van Buren County Public Health Nursing Service and may be left at the funeral home.

CARD OF THANKSThe family of Margie Snead would like to thank our many friends, neighbors and relatives for all the support, flowers, cards, food and memorials for our wife and mother during her recent illness in the Iowa City hospital and following her sudden passing that was such a shock to all of us. Words can never express how much that meant. She was so much a part of many people's lives and will be missed for a long time to come.
