Ruth M. Miller

Ruth M. Miller, 67, 1001 Liberty Drive, died at 7:35 a.m. today, Jan. 22, 1991, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at Birmingham. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home. Memorials have been established to Jefferson County Hospice and American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Miller was born March 31, 1923, in Floris, the daughter of William and Emma Ziech Zuehlke. A resident of Jefferson County most of her life, she was educated in Batavia and graduated from Batavia High School in 1941. She married Dale A. Miller on Feb. 14, 1952, in Fairfield. She was a teller at First National Bank for 25 years before retiring in December 1984. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, taught Sunday school and was a past board member of the Jefferson County Unit of American Cancer Society.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Cindy Miller and Peggy Miller, both of Fairfield; two brothers, Raymond Zuehlke of Mount Pleasant and Walter Zuehlke of Eldon. Her parents and a brother, Alvin, preceded her in death.
