Herbert C. Moore

Herbert C. Moore, son of George and Alpha Jackson Moore was born September 14, 1913 in Eldon, Iowa and died Wednesday, November 13, 1991 at the Good Samaritan Center, 700 Waverly, Davenport, Iowa at the age of 78.

He married Ethel Louise Wells April 18, 1937 in Birmingham, Iowa. She died May 9, 1986.

Herbert farmed in the Birmingham and Stockport area, moving to Burlington and retiring from IAAP. He was a member of the Patriot Lodge AF&AM in Burlington and former member of Workman Lodge, Stockport, Iowa and was affiliated with the First Christian Church.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Jeanne Moore, Omaha, Nebraska and one daughter and son-in-law, Rosalie and Larry Bogle, San Diego, California, four grandchildren, Brian and Darren Bogle and Wendy and Erick Moore, also one brother, Ralph Moore, Pueble, Colorado, and two sisters, Edith Anderson, Burlington, Iowa and Betty Applebee of California.

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 16, 1991 at the First Christian Church at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Bill Kanne officiating with burial at 3:30 p.m. in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cantril, Iowa. Masonic Rites were held at the cemetery. The Workman Lodge AF & AM of Stockport, Iowa will conduct the services. A memorial has been established to Alzheimer's Research and the First Christian Church.

Lunning Funeral Home, Burlington, Iowa were in charge of arrangements.
