Ferne Emma Jane Remund, 70, of Dexter, Oregon, died Saturday (Wednesday), March 2, 1988 in Eugene, Oregon. She was a former Keokuk resident.
She was born May 31, 1917 in Athens, Missouri, the daughter of Robert and Lillie Parker Johnson.
She attended grade school in Farmington before moving to Keokuk in the thirties. She lived in California several years before moving to Oregon. She married Seth Remund July 2, 1954.
She is survived by her husband; her father; daughters, Victory Lee of Eugene, and Glenda Ferne of Bellingham, Washington; a son, Richard D. Woods of Sonora, California; two granddaughters; three step-children and two sisters, Darline Shumate, Bettendorf and Evelyn Wright of Farmington.
The body was cremated and interment will be at a later date.
