Lura 'Jo' Squires

Lura "Jo" Squires of Burlington died Thursday, July 31, 1986 at Burlington Medical Center. She was 71.

Born October 29, 1914 in Farmington, she was the daughter of George W. and Esther M. Coon Neafie.

She had been employed by Sylvania and the Little Oak Day Care. She was a member of the First Christian Church.

Surviving are one son, Robert "Bob" Hand, Morning Sun; one daughter, Sally Lackey, Ursa, Illinois; and 12 grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Squires were held August 2 at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Andrew Pate and Sister Mary Frances officiating. Burial was in Greenglade Cemetery, Farmington, Iowa.
