Charles Herman Doud, 82, of Fairfield, died at 9 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 1986 at the Jefferson County Hospital.
He was born Feb. 12, 1904, east of Douds, the son of Thomas and Nina Laughlin Doud. He married Bessie Lee Morrow, Feb. 16, 1925 in the Free Methodist parsonage in Birmingham.
He was a farmer all of his life and was a member of the Birmingham Free Methodist Church.
he is survived by his wife, one son, John T. Doud of Fairfield, two daughters, Mary Munson of Lockridge and Marge Book of Packwood; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one sister, Julia Moore of Fairfield. he was preceded in death by one sister, Nell Hootman.
Funeral services were Sunday at the Behner Funeral Home, with Rev. Daniel Munson, officiating. Burial was in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Douds.
