Lucile Louise Snyder, 84, 1103 W. Briggs Ave., died at 12:53 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, 1991, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Birmingham United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sara Malone officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at Birmingham. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight at Burch-Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham. Memorials have been established to the American Heart Association.

Mrs. Snyder was born March 2, 1907, in Mount Pleasant, the daughter of Louis Jean and Lina Maret Mariet. She grew up north of Batavia, attended Centennial rural school and graduated from Fairfield High School. She married Robert D. Snyder on May 6, 1929, at Ottumwa. He died April 4, 1975. They lived most of their married life in Birmingham, moving to Fairfield in 1975. She worked as a housekeeper for many local families, worked at Dexter Company during World War II and as an aid at Jefferson County Hospital for 16 years retiring. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are a son, H. Eugene of Keosauqua; five granddaughters; four great-grandchildren and a brother, Alfred A. Mairet of Phoenix. A son, Robert Dean, a brother, Elmer L. Mairet and a sister, Laura Curray, preceded her in death.
