V. Sellers rites Wednesday

DOUDS - Velma I. Sellers, 73, Douds, died at 5;30 p.m. Sunday at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds, with the Rev. Harold Harryman officiating. Visitation will be from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with an Eastern Star service at 8:15 p.m. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Douds. Memorials to Christ United Methodist Church, Douds, may be left at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sellers was born March 8, 1913 in Eldon, the daughter of Merlin and Hetty Fligg Wilson, and graduated from Eldon High School. She had lived most of her adult life in Douds. She was a member of Eldon Christian Church, and UMW and Twin City Chapter 258 OES, both of Douds. On June 24, 1933 at Eldon, she married George J. Sellers, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, George Merlin Sellers, Knoxville; a daughter, Barbara Hermanson, Story City; three grandchildren; a brother, Merle Wilson, Kansas City, Mo., and a sister, Evelyn Schippers, Knoxville.
