Mrs. Alice Geeseka

Mrs. Otto (Alice) Geeseka, 79, of Scott City, Kansas, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 1986 at the Scott City hospital. She had been a Scott City resident since 1928.

Born Alice A. Bennett on Jan. 4, 1907, in Van Buren County, she married Otto H. Geeseka on March 6, 1927, in Lee County.

Mrs. Geeseka was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, the Kolorful Kansas Art Association, and the Scott County Extension Homemakers Unit.

She is survived by her husband, a son, Henry of Scott City; daughters, Agnes A. Morgan, Fresno, CA.; and Joy A. Schroeder, Ordway, Col.; brothers, Noa S. Bennett, Otis Oregon; and Wilbur Lee Bennett, Tribune, Ka.; sisters, Dehlia Woodrick, Burlington, Co.; and Elsie Weisenberger, Scott City; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday September 10, 1986 at the church, with Rev. Richard Kaczar officiating. Burial was in the Scott County Cemetery, with Price and Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the church.
